Qingshan Waterfall
Evergreen Mountains symbolizes the everlasting beauty of mountains and rivers, while expressing the artist’s deep affection for his hometown. Displayed in the pavilion at the entrance to the Qingshan Waterfall Trail, the work also conveys a heartfelt blessing: may every visitor who enters the mountains enjoy lasting health, vitality, and a youthful spirit, just like the evergreen mountains.
Calligrapher Chu Chen-Nan, a native of Shimen District, New Taipei City, has long maintained a deep connection to his hometown, continually giving back to his community through art and meaningful contributions. Donated by the artist to the Shimen District Office, The Mountains Endure now graces the trail pavilion, bringing a warm humanistic touch to the surrounding natural landscape.
Through bold and expressive brushstrokes, the work captures the vibrant energy of nature, harmonizing beautifully with the scenery of Qingshan Waterfall. These four Chinese characters embody not only a heartfelt wish for the enduring beauty of nature, but also the artist’s lasting love for his hometown and his sincere commitment to giving back through art.
